Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist She was born in Soviet Union to Jewish immigrants and began her career after emigrating from Israel to the United States as a child actor. Her fame was boosted by her appearances on AT&T commercials on TV as salesperson Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and since 2020. She was also a regular series regular on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub has also been voiced as Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was selected to play Squirrel Girl in the unaired television pilot of New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents and she left antisemitism at two years old. They immigrated to the U.S. with their children. The financial struggles of her family resulted in her appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. Following her sophomore year, she dropped out and got an GED. She continued to get an undergraduate degree in Arts Communication degree from the University of California San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied Improv comedy.
